Day 01
Airport to Negombo
Arrival in Bandaranayake International Airport in Colombo and transfer to Negombo for one night.

Day 02
Negombo – Sigiriya
After breakfast, Negombo city tour : visit fish market, Dutch Canal boat rider, leave for Sigiriya for two nights. In the afternoon, visit Minneriya National Park for photography of Elephants gathering. During the months of June – September, up to 350 Asian Elephants can be seen gathering in the tank beds of Minneriya. Also, you will have chances to see birds such as Painted Storks, Great White Pelicans, Ruddy Turnstones and Grey Herons and other endemic birds like Sri Lanka Jungle Fowls, Sri Lanka Hanging Parrots, Sri Lanka Brown-capped Babblers and the Sri Lanka Grey Hornbills, etc.

Day 03
Sigiriya
In the morning, depart for the Lion Rock in Sigiriya, a
UNESCO world heritage site adorned by a palace on its peak. A must-visit for
anyone visiting Sri Lanka. In the afternoon, you can have a Sri Lankan village
experience with a cooking demonstration. In the evening, you can have a Sri
Lankan ayurvedic massage.

Day 04
Sigiriya to Kandy
After breakfast, proceed to Kandy, visiting the rock cave
temple in Dambulla and the Matale spice garden en route, as well as a wood
carving factory.
Later in the evening witness a Cultural Dance performance.

Day 05
Kandy to Ella
After breakfast, take the train from Kandy to Ella. There is no trip more scenic than this, as the train climbs through green hills covered with tea plantations and through misty mountain ranges, passing old bridges, tunnels and waterfalls, with children running alongside the railway tracks, giving a glimpse of Sri Lankan village life.
Meet your vehicle in Ella and drive to hotel.

The hike typically takes around 4 hours for the round trip, including time for breaks and photo stops. Despite the duration, the journey is filled with diverse scenery that keeps the trek interesting. Starting from the Ella train station, you’ll enjoy a scenic rail walk before beginning your ascent. Along the way, you’ll pass a waterfall, a rubber tree forest, and lush tea plantations, each adding to the charm of the hike.
